About The Farmer’s Wife Photography

My farmer and I.

Hi, my name is Lisa Beach and I am the photographer of The Farmer’s Wife Photography.  I am a natural light photographer which means that I solely rely on the natural light to capture my photos and do not use any studio lighting.  What can you expect when you book a session with me? I like to start out by getting to know a bit about you so I can begin to get inspiration for your session. I also like to hear what your vision is for your photos so that I can combine your vision with my ideas to create an experience that is unique to you. During your session, I will do my best to accommodate your needs and to create an atmosphere that is comfortable and fun for everyone. After the session, my goal while editing is to make each individual look their best by bringing out their unique features all while keeping the portrait looking natural and real.

Aside from being a photographer, I am also a stay at home mom.  Before having my daughter, I was an Elementary Art Teacher. While going to school for Art Education I found a passion for photography. I loved the experience of working in the dark room and the satisfaction of starting with a blank roll of film and experiencing the process of creating a unique and beautiful photograph. I still love that experience of capturing beautiful moments and delivering them to my clients.

Ever since I can remember I have loved looking at photographs. I could spend hours looking at old photographs of my grandparents from when they were young and often find myself looking at recent photos over and over.  I think the thing I enjoy the most about photographs is their ability to take us back to special moments captured throughout our own and other’s lives.

When I am not working on photography I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, friends, and family. I enjoy reading (I always welcome a good book recommendation!), listening to music (especially live music), crafts, watercolor painting, playing cards, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers, and spending as much time outdoors as I can! I also teach a summer school painting class and youth art classes at the Monroe Arts Center.

Thank you for visiting my page and taking an interest in my work.  I would love the opportunity to work with you and capture special moments that you and your loved ones can cherish for years to come.
