Welcome!
My name is Lisa and I am the photographer of The Farmer’s Wife Photography.
Ever since I can remember I have loved looking at photographs. I could spend hours looking at old photographs of my grandparents from when they were young and often find myself looking at recent photos over and over. I think the thing I enjoy the most about photographs is their ability to take us back to special moments captured throughout our own and other’s lives.
Aside from being a photographer, I am also a stay at home mom. Before becoming a mom, I was an Elementary Art Teacher. While going to school for Art Education I found a passion for photography. I loved the experience of working in the dark room and the satisfaction of starting with a blank roll of film and experiencing the process of creating a unique and beautiful photograph. I still love that experience of capturing beautiful moments and delivering them to my clients.
When I am not working on photography I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, friends, and family. I enjoy reading (I always welcome a good book recommendation!), listening to music (especially live music), crafts, watercolor painting, playing cards, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers, spending as much time outdoors as I can, and I recently began trying to teach myself how to crochet (tips are welcome). I also teach a summer school painting class and youth art classes at the Monroe Arts Center.
Thank you for visiting my page and taking an interest in my work. I would love the opportunity to work with you and capture special moments that you and your loved ones will cherish a lifetime and longer.
